Charming seaside escape with fantastic food

I had a wonderful stay in a Twin Room with Shower, where the cleanliness was impeccable and the staff were particularly welcoming. The underfloor heating in the bathroom was a lovely touch, adding to the comfort, and I thoroughly enjoyed the delicious fish and chips for dinner. Portmahomack is a picturesque village with stunning beach views, but it would be nice to have a bit more variety on the dining menu.

The Castle Hotel offers a charming atmosphere with its warm wood-burning stoves and welcoming decor. I appreciated the easy access and thoughtful touch of underfloor heating in the bathroom, making my stay comfortable and relaxing.

Additional seating in common areas would be nice.

Consider visiting the local pub for a vibrant atmosphere and a chance to connect with friendly locals. It truly enhances the stay.

The welcoming staff created a relaxed atmosphere during my stay. While the room was clean and comfortable, it felt a bit small. The food was generally well-prepared. however, portions could be improved, especially the pasta dishes, which were delicious but on the smaller side. Enjoyed a beautiful beach nearby and the local area offered plenty of activities.

The Castle Hotel is a lovely spot with a relaxed vibe. Our twin room was cozy and clean, with an en-suite walk-in shower that made our stay comfortable. The staff were friendly and created a warm atmosphere, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring.

i had an amazing stay while celebrating a wedding in portmahomack. the atmosphere at the castle exceeded my expectations with its friendly staff and cozy ambiance. our family room had a lovely sea view, while the food was both delicious and reasonably priced.

internet connection was unreliable.

Pleasant room, comfortable bed, with a great bathroom featuring a refreshing shower and a flat-screen TV, all within a beautiful seaside setting and just a short distance from Inverness Airport.

Fabulous food, friendly staff.

We recently stayed here for 3 nights and loved the highlights, especially the wonderfully cooked fish and chips with melt-in-your-mouth batter, and the generous portions at breakfast. The homemade shortbread was a delightful surprise, adding charm to our stay!
